Nolin, Steven Lee LT. JG, USNR Retired, passed away Monday,August 24, 2009. Steve was born April 4, 1956 in Arrington, England. He graduated from San Antonio Southwest High School and Angelo State University. In 1979, he was the Honor Graduate fromhis class at Naval Flight Officer Aviation School Command. He proudly served his country as a naval officer where he was affectionately referred to as "Heavy Weather." Steve retired from service following 2 tours in the Mediterranean. He worked extensively in retail management with Joskes, Foley's, and OfficeMax. Since he was a voracious reader, Steve passed the LSAT test in stride, and he had the pick of the nations most prestigious Schools of Lawto attend. He was most proud of raising Marina and felt that he and Pat had done well both in raising a daughter with such character, and inheriting a son-in-law they love and trust to take care of their precious daughter.Steve was a caring and loving father. He was also an unassuming, gentle, and honorable man. He is most remembered for his easy wit and unique sense of humor. He is survived and will be missed by his parents Daniel and Alma Nolin, his only daughter and the joy of his life, Marina, and her husband Ryan Harris. Marinas mother, Pat Nolin, Marinas grandparents Ignacio and Carmen Zepeda, Sisters Teressa and Danna Nolin,Brothers Frank and MatthewNolin.Sister-in-law Jackie Nolin, Nephews Eric, Kevinand Robert Nolin, Patrick and Tyler Tumlinson. Angelica Alcayde, Marina's aunt, Michael and his daughter Emily Zepeda, Marina's uncle and cousin, Stephan, Renee and Baby Jordin Zepeda, Marina's uncle, aunt and cousin, Maria Cruz, Marina's auntOur family is very grateful and wishes to thank Estela Dietrich and family, Helen Parkman, Lee Parrott, Robert and Maria Trevino, Eseguiel and Blanca Jurado, Dr. Ples Kujawa, David and Angela Moore, friends, and extended family for the support theyhave provided.Steve will rest eternally at Fort Sam Houston Memorial Cemetery, following services with Full Military Honors. Gravesite Services on Wednesday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m.
