Our Lord welcomed His faithful servant Sylvia Hortencia Polo Rivera who sadly yet peacefully passed away in the early morning of February 6th 2023, at the age of 75. She was born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and later migrated and started her family in the United States. One of her lifelong passions was her love and devotion to the arts, especially painting in oil. She also enjoyed cooking for any occasion which was her demonstration of her love for people. What brings us joy and comfort in knowing that she was a dedicated woman of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her salvation was important to her and others. Sylvia was a warm-hearted person with whomever she met and would always leave people with a sense of God’s love that shined through her. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when her family or friends needed her. She was a dedicated grandmother to ALL her grandchildren and would travel to the ends of the earth to be with them. Sylvia was preceded by her father and mother Roberto Rivera Lopez, Maria Elena Rivera Moctezuma, and her four brothers, Manuel, Roberto, Jose, and Juan Rivera. Sylvia is survived by her only surviving Aunt Raquel Moctezuma Perez and sister Maria Leticia Gutierrez and husband Ruben. Her Children are Marcela and husband Omar, Marco and wife Lali, Monica and husband Alex, her grandchildren Josue, Mariana, Nina, Vivika, Leo, Vitor, Velen, Vivianna, Idalia, Demian, Maximo and Helena. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends and neighbors.
