Thomas Louis Arnow

Thomas Arnow, beloved husband and father, was born in Detroit, MI and passed away in San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Harriette Arnow and his sister Marcella. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maureen and his son, David.

He graduated from McGill University in chemistry and later earned a Masters of computer science from UTSA and a doctorate in electrical engineering from UT Austin. He did independent consulting for many years and later worked in research at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio and teaching computer security at the high school and university level.

He was passionate about writing, languages, cats, music, history, and world news. He particularly liked writing letters to the editor of the local newspaper. He loved his family and home of 41 years.
He was much loved and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be sent to the Appalachian Writers’ Workshop at the Hindman Settlement School in Hindman, KY.
