Tommie Kidd JR, U.S. Army Retired, was called to his heavenly home Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the age of 79. He was born February 7, 1933 in Bogata, Texas. He was the only child of Tom and Pearl Kidd. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Roy Kidd. He was survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Connie Dichoso Kidd; children, Donna Torres and husband Felipie, Ramon Kidd and his wife Hermia, Tommie Jean Amaya and her husband Martin, and Eddie Kidd and wife Casey. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren; Jeffery Anthony Painter, Christina Zitino, Jesus Catalina Torres, Rhea, John Vince Kidd, Brenda Baxter, Steven Roberts, Jason Jimenez, Tyler, Taylor Trevor Kidd, and 16 great grandchildren. Tommie served his country for 21 years initially in the Korean Conflict and then in Viet Nam. When he retired from the Army, he began his second career as a long haul truck driver. Tommie loved the open road and enjoyed meeting new people and seeing the country. Tommie delighted in conversation with family, friends, and all he met in his travels. He will be remembered by all for his truly unique personality and as a gifted story teller. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and Family will gather to honor Tommie immediately following the graveside service at the home of Eddie Casey Kidd, 12009 Retama Hollow, Live Oak, TX 78233.

We will travel in procession to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service.
