Travis Eugene Hall was born in Tifton, GA on December 17, 1944 to the late Rufus and Dorothy Hall. He passed away to be with our Lord on May 1, 2019 atthe age of 74. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosalee Rodriguez Hall; daughter, Robin Hall Fisher; brother, Randy (Sherry) Hall; sister, Betty Malone; son through marriage and Best Man, Jerry Towner; daughter-in-law, Monica Towner; grandchildren, JT and Lyla Towner and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Travis proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Army Corps of Engineers and was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. In 1974, he graduated from Columbus College in Columbus, GA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business-Economics, which he promptly put to good use in developing successful business sectors for companies that included Data Point and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).
Although having roots in Georgia, Travis became a proud Texan in 1994 and quickly adopted the culture of his new home including Tex-Mex Food and San Antonio Culture. He loved all things Country & Western including his favorite artist George Strait, Western movies, cowboy boots, cowboy hats and big trucks. Travis was a master of the grill who loved a good steak & potato and would not shy away from an ice cold Coors beer. He was also an avid sports fans with his favorite teams being the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. While he loved all that life had to offer, it did not compare to his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which he professed through his conversion to the Catholic faith.
While his academic and business success were impressive, it paled in comparison to his success as an inspirational family man. Despite 24 years of personal physical challenges, he continued to motivate and inspire all of those around him with his grit, determination, never give up mentality and overall positive attitude. His fighting spirit remained with him throughout his life and continues on today throughthe people’s lives he touched and influenced.
