Trinidad Lopez Macias was born in Bryan Texas on May 27, 1928 to Francisco and Juanita Macias. He lived with his parents and siblings Jesse Macias, Connie Macias and Dominga Macias. He attended Will Rogers Elementary. He then attended Thomas Edison High School. He was a migrant worker and traveled with his parents to pick strawberries. For this reason he graduated high school at the age of 21. At the age of 22 on October 6, 1950 he was inducted into the United States Army, 4th Army area Infantry Division. He was assigned to Hq&HqCo3rd Battalion 160 Infantry Regiment. He was a radio lineman where he fought in combat at the frontlines of the Korean War and watched many die. He earned an Occ Medal (Japan), Korean Svc Medal w/Bronze Service Star, A UN Service Medal C.I.B. and numerous ribbons and additional awards. After receiving an honorable discharge from the army he returned home and married Angelita Patino on January 15, 1952. They made a home together and had 11 children. He worked as a carpenter and retired from the City of San Antonio in 1986. Mr. Macias is preceded in death by his infant son Jesus Macias and his beloved wife Angelita Macias. He is survived by his 6 daughters and 4 sons. Mary Macias, Herlinda Cortez and Raul, Gloria Lopez and Mike, Theresa Nation, Elizabeth Knight, Guadalupe Trejo, Trinidad L Macias Jr., Juan Macias, Frank Macias and Linda, Mark Macias and Michelle and 23 grandchildren, Michelle Ramirez, Monica Chavez and Alex, Lisa Pena and Tony, Laura Tyler and Jamie, Christopher Cortez, Juan J Macias and Samantha, Rebecca Skalka and Tom, Jacob Macias, Jason Macias Rachel Macias, Joel Macias, Melissa Alvarez-Garay and Alvaro, Nicholas Lopez, Steven Lopez, Jennifer Iovito and Curtis, Veronica Macias, Daniel Macias, Rosalinda Hilliard, Rosalynn Hilliard, Jessica Hilliard, Alexandria Macias, Aarron Macias and Krista Trejo. Great grandchildren, Adrian Ramirez, Alex Chavez, Jacob Pena, Luke Tyler, Dylan Tyler, Armado Macias, Elijah Macias, Sophia Macias, Serenity Macias, Abeny Macias, Geanean Macias, Joel Juan Macias, , Nathan Iovito, Rachel Iovito, Vanessa Iovito and Daniella Faith Calliham and numerous nieces and nephews.
