On Saturday, March 6, 2021, Vicenta Martinez, a kind, loving, devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her Family at the age of 88.
Vicenta was born on March 13, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Catarino and Rosa Rocha. Vicenta’s passion to help others led her to earn her LVN license and care for patients at Santa Rosa Hospital. Vicenta married Lorenzo Martinez and raised three children Maria, Lorenzo and Hector.
Vicenta was entirely devoted to her family and her joy was spending time with them by cooking delicious meals and hosting birthday parties at her home for her grand-children and great-grandchildren. Her life was full of unconditional love and she always treated everyone she met like family. She babysat children of family and friends and often shared her time caring for sick family members of family and friends. As a devout Catholic, she volunteered her time with the Guadalupanas at her local parish.
Vicenta was the light, security and comfort of her Family and always gave her blessing at the end of a visit or phone call. She helped raise her grand-children and great-grandchildren up until her passing. Her home was filled with her love and she will be greatly missed by her Family.
Vicenta was preceded in death by her parents Catarino and Rosa Rocha, her husband Lorenzo Martinez and sister, Stella Garcia. She is survived by her children Maria Rosales (husband Kelly Sr.), son Lorenzo Martinez, son Hector Martinez (wife Leticia), grand-children; Kelly Jr. (wife Leah), Hector Jr., Samuel, Manuel, Ashley (husband Jesse), Marissa, Madelaine (husband Matthew), Miranda and 16 great grandchildren.
