Our entire lives are touched by angels. Most of us know our angels by their human nickname mama, mom, mommy. These Mom Angels discipline us, nurse us, are our first teachers and friend and are much more. Mostly they love us unconditionally. As children of these Mom Angels we dont always know just how much we love them until we ourselves are Mothers. Victoria Ontiveros Mendez born March 7, 1926 went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2008 at the age of 82. Our mom loved to dance, loved flowers and loved her family. She was a wonderful woman, funny and easy to talk to. Her only son, Raul left this world 2 years ago. She will be joining him, her mother Nicolasa and father Antonio, in-laws Blasa and Antonio, sisters Sofia, Juanita and Kuka. Her infant daughter Pauline will finally get to know her mothers love as we did. She leaves behind her two daughters Delma Mendez Watters and Lupe Mendez-Gutierrez; sisters, Estella and Olivia; granddaughters, Nicole, Kelly, Janie and Nancy; grandson, Robert; step-grandson, Jimmy; son in-laws, Jim Watters and Rey Gutierrez. Her loving husband Pablo of 65 years will miss her companionship and all of their late night talks. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. We would like to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice for their gentle love and care of our mother. Most especially to Dawn Villanueva, RN, Dr. Fuentes, Myra Ross, LVN, Helen Wylie, CNA, Gina Saenz, LVN, Virginia Vela, LVN, Sue Biros, LVN, Lee Johns, LVN and LaQuetta Q Johnson, CNA.
