October 2007: The doctor said lung cancer. Normal life expectancy 6-8 months. Well, we can do better than that. And we did. Many mountains were climbed, literally and figuratively. Three years later, still climbing; to the top of Mt Washington in New Hampshire. The strongest man I have ever known. He lived life to the fullest. He made you think. He made you smile. He fought to the end. After his body had already given up, his heart was still hanging on. He left in peace, Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The challenge of the mountain has subsided. He may now rest in the valleys.We love you Bill.
