ROSS
Marine Veteran William E. Ross, III born April 15, 1953 aka Southside Billy Ross the love of our lives decided to cash in his chips on May 25, 2009 without asking even one of us if it was ok if he left. Preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Lorraine Ross, father, William Earl Ross, Jr., Stepfather, John Edward Scribner. He is survived by his son Joshua N. Ross, his mother Barbara Ann Scribner; sisters, Sharon Romans, Patti Ross; aunt, Belle (Edith Mills); nieces, Janean Goza and Darla Romans; nephews, Cody, Aaron, and Curtis Chiappini; extended family, Debbie Blackwood, Heidi Bush, Terri Minnia and Michael Gilbert, and the San Antonio Blues Music Family, and so many special friends there is not enough room in the paper to list. Bill retired from CPS after 31 years of service and was a member of the local 500 IBEW for 31 years. A Memorial Service will be held at CPS Energy Employee Park, located at 9911 Perrin Beitel Rd on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and a celebration of life from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Bring your own ice chest and barbeque. Hawaiian Attire requested. Graveside service will be held Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Special Olympics-DABs Independents Team, 10223 McAllister Fwy, Ste. 100, San Antonio, Texas, 78216, The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
