Willie Dean "Byie" Nelson, Jr.

1969-2022. Willie Dean “Byie” Nelson, Jr., 52, of Beaumont, Texas passed away Sunday afternoon, July 3, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. Jr. was blessed to be surrounded by his girlfriend Kim, Sister, Brother, Brother-In-Law and Niece during the last days of his life.

He was born on September 27, 1969, in Beaumont Texas to Katharine Elaine and Willie D.Nelson Sr. Jr. was a man with a heart as big as Texas and sweet as a Georgia peach. He loved celebrating with family and friends any chance he could get. He appreciated the views of the hill country, so he moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2012 to enjoy the outdoors and to be closer to his mother.

He is survived by his loving girlfriend of 10 years, Chom Cho Kim of San Antonio, Texas; son, Willie Dean Nelson III of Beaumont, Texas; grandson, Ozias Dean Nelson of Fannett, Texas; mother, Katharine Elaine Nelson of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Ronald Wade Cantrell and his wife Trish of Kountz, Texas; sisters, Katharine Sue Blincoe of Kountz, Texas, Jacqueline Rose Cantrell of League City, Texas, Lisa Renee’ Elie and her husband Michael of San Antonio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willie D. Nelson Sr., brother, Mark Anthony Cantrell, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Blincoe. Mr. Nelson’s funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Jesus Baptist San Antonio Church, 14510 Judson Rd. San Antonio, TX 78233.
