Willie Vasquez, Jr.

Willie was born Aug. 3, 1954 in San Antonio to Lillie G. and Willie R. Vasquez Sr. He was a six year member of Lanier High School Band in S.A. and a member of The Chapters gospel group of Amarillo, TX. He was a powerful singer who loved to praise God with his voice. He was a great example of a son, brother and uncle. He had a huge heart for his parents, family and life-long friends he encountered during his life and especially his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Corvette Club, even owning a limited 40th edition 1993 model himself. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillie Vasquez and by his sister, Lupita Amaya. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM with a Chapel Service to begin at 6:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, 14315 Judson Road. A funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM graveside Service Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
